Easy & Elegant Centerpiece DIY ~ Weddings, Parties or Glam Celebrations

EASY DIY Gold Centerpiece for Wedding, Anniversary and Parties

*See video below for more details

Materials Needed:

Flowers (color and type of your choice)

Glass Vase

Polyurethane spray paint

Gold spray paint (Can use Krylon  or Rustoleum)

Gold glitter

Mod Podge

Ribbon (Color of your choice)

Sponge Brush

Scissors

Directions:

  • Clean glass vase with alcohol or window cleaner before applying spray paint
  • Spray paint the vase with even sprays all over the glass and allow to completely dry (I prefer overnight)
  • Pour Mod Podge into a different container (I use a paper plate) for easy use
  • Apply Mod Podge to spray painted glass vase with a foam brush in small sections, no larger than 3-4 inches vertically.
  • Take your glitter and gently sprinkle the glitter on the mod podge that you all applied to the jar.
  • Cover that area with glitter
  • Then move on to applying the mod podge to the next section.
  • Continue both processes of applying mod podge and glitter, until the entire jar is covered
  • It will dry clear. So no worries about seeing the white mod podge when it is all complete.
  • Allow drying overnight.
  • This step is optional to apply a coat of polyurethane spray paint to make a seal for your vase to protect it from wear and prevent glitter fall out.
  • Once dry you can leave it as is or add ribbon as I have done.
  • Used about 24 inches of ribbon to create my bow (See video for more details)
  • Tie your bow
  • Cut the ends of the ribbon once tied with a diagonal down or upward to create the look you are going for
  • Add flowers to the vase
  • Now your centerpiece is complete!

JOB WELL DONE!
