Gospel Music Workout PlayList | Music That Will Make You Dance, Cry and Exercise To

October 21, 2021 by Hope

My very first love was music and singing. I love to listen to music and zone out…taking my mind away, somewhere and listening to the lyrics and beat. I believed that I loved music simply because I enjoyed singing.

This was one of the first gifts that I discovered but boy, was I terrified to share it. I mean terrified!! I would have family members ask me over and over again to share it with the world at family gatherings or talent shows but I was so nervous.

I remember going home after school and singing as loudly as I could in our garage…I love the acoustics in there. I loved gospel music. I was raised listening to it and sung in the choir since I was in the third grade until my early twenties.

My Mother would play Gospel music throughout the house getting ready for church on Sunday and when we would clean the house on the weekends.

But one thing!! My brother and I would sneak to listen to secular/worldly music. It wasn’t popular amongst our friends/peers and who wanted to be left out? And honestly, the 90s had the best music and Gospel music was a part of that as well.

For years, I would work out to some Gospel and secular music. I love to listen to music when I work out, it works best for me. My husband likes to listen to Audible, movies, and learn something new…I just can’t!

Because of my LOVE for music, this is one of my convictions. We all have them! But this one is strong for me.

So I would battle with myself ….Hope, it is okay…God will understand that you only listen to it when you are working out?!?! But I knew that I still felt strongly in my conviction and was determined to find (I knew it was out there because I found some music to listen to that was upbeat) find more.

It is so important that we are careful what we feed our minds and spirits on a daily basis!! I learned this growing up and would hear it from my Mom but it wasn’t until this year that it fully changed my mindset.

Some of these songs are my favs to workout to. I have many more to share, possibly in a different playlist that I will share soon. I pray that this blesses you while you get your cardio in daily!

My husband and I are on a 30 day, 1-hour cardio challenge; which inspired me to share my playlist with you.

These gospel songs will make you dance, cry, exercise and play over and over again.
