Preparing Our Hearts for the Christmas Season
The Christmas season is such a beautiful time of year! Between decorating, shopping, baking, and preparing for family gatherings, it’s easy to get caught up in the busyness of the holidays.
This year, I wanted to create something special that would help us slow down, spend intentional time together, and most importantly, keep Christ at the center of Christmas.
That’s where the idea of creating an Advent Basket came from!
What Is an Advent Basket?
An Advent Basket is a collection of faith-filled activities, Bible studies, devotionals, and meaningful Christmas traditions that encourage us to spend time with Christ and our families throughout the Advent season.
Whether you have young children, teenagers, adult children, or simply want to enjoy a more intentional Advent season yourself, you can create a basket that works for you!
What’s Inside My Advent Basket?
For my basket, I gathered a few special items to help make the season meaningful:
- Bible and Advent Devotionals: Spending time reading God’s Word and reflecting on the birth of Jesus.
- Advent Activities: Simple activities to enjoy together as a family.
- Christmas Music: Worship songs and Christmas hymns that celebrate our Savior.
- Prayer and Scripture Cards: Encouraging reminders of God’s promises.
- Cozy Christmas Touches: Festive items to make our devotional time feel extra special.
You don’t have to spend a lot of money to create a beautiful Advent Basket. Start with items you already own and add a few meaningful touches along the way!
